A conscientious family

     Hi! My name is Marina and I am a university student of veterinarian medicine. I am medium height and thin. I have got long wavy blond hair and blue eyes. I am a dreamer, active and nice. My hobbies are drawing, painting and playing with animals. My favourite clothes are dresses and skirts. My favourite colour is pink and my favourite pet is the cat.

     I live with my parents, my brother and my grandparents.

     My mother´s name is Marta. She’s an expert on climatic changes. She is tall and thin. She has got long straight blond hair and blue eyes. She is intelligent, communicative and nice. Her hobbies are drawing, painting and writing. Her favourite clothes are trousers and blouses. Marta’s favourite colour is blue and her favourite pet is the fish.

     My father’s name is Mário. He’s a lifeguard. He is medium height and thin. He has got short wavy black hair. He is happy, active and nice. His hobbies are swimming (he is very good at it) and playing the flute. His favourite clothes are shorts and shirts. Mario´s favourite colour is orange and his favourite animal is the dolphin.

     My brother is Marli. He is a marine biologist. He’s tall and thin. He has got short curly black hair and green eyes. He’s calm, nice and hard-working.  His hobbies are reading, swimming and playing the piano. His favourite clothes are trousers and shirts. Marli´s favourite colour is green and his favourite animal is the shark.

     My grandfather´s name is Martin. He is the director of an association about sea preservation. He is tall and fat. He has got short straight grey hair and blue eyes. He’s funny, intelligent and nice. His favourite hobby is reading on the beach. His favourite clothes are trousers and t-shirts. Martin’s favourite colour is dark green and his favourite pet is the turtle.

     My grandmother’s name is Maria. She is short and plump. She is a designer, especially of posters related to the sea. She has got short curly black hair and green eyes. She’s calm, intelligent and nice. Her hobbies are drawing, painting and singing.  Her favourite clothes are skirts and blouses. Maria’s favourite colour is blue and her favourite animal is the seal.

     Our names all start with “Mar” because it means “sea” in Portuguese and we all love the sea.

     Our daily routine is a little different because we live by the sea. At six o’clock my brother and I get up, go take a swim and after that we get dressed.  I go to the university and he goes to work. My parents and my grandparents get up at seven o’clock. They go for a walk on the beach and after that they go to work. At around midday we have lunch together. Then we go to the beach where we surf, swim and sunbathe. We often help to clean beaches and launch campaigns for the protection of the oceans. In the evenings I read and play with my cat.  My brother and my parents watch movies and my grandparents listen to music and dance. Sometimes my brother and father play music and my grandmother sings. Finally, we all go to bed at eleven o’clock.
